Selena Lewis, owner of Selena Lewis Designs, is always learning. She started in wallpaper and learned how to help people design their homes, then got into home renovations and new builds. She continues to push herself to learn more about what she can offer her clients, and volunteers her talent to revamp spaces in
her community.
What should more people know about hiring an interior designer?
Hiring a designer is an investment in your overall project, and budgeting money for that opens doors to resources and vendors that can help bring your vision to life.
What do you love about living in this community?
Cumming is super kid-friendly, safe and has great schools. It’s also a close-knit community. When our kids make new friends, my husband and I become friends with their parents, too. I love it when I watch my kids play outside and realize there are several neighborhoods and schools represented in the group.
Where can people find you most, out and about in Cumming?
When I am not working, I spend a lot of my time volunteering at my kids’ elementary school—I love being involved with their fundraising events and I’ve been able to use my skills to help revamp a few of the teachers’ spaces there. My family loves spending time at Vickery Village because it is so convenient to my house—you’ll find us mostly at Cinco, enjoying chicken tortilla soup and an Aztec margarita.
