Kelly Brooks
By Jennifer Colosimo

Rising star alumnus Kelly Brooks is a veteran compared to most industry professionals her age. That’s because she started with her company while she was still in school finishing her degree. Out of long, dedicated hours as a mom-and-pop operation, she’s grown Property Masters, Inc. into a turnkey residential construction powerhouse that completes hundreds of jobs simultaneously—and, celebrating 20 years with the company this year, one that still drives her to wake up every single day and do more than the day before.

How have you grown professionally since being recognized as a Rising Star?

Kelly Brooks: Over the past few years, I’ve learned to trust my instincts more than ever, and that shift has made me a stronger leader, parent and friend. I’ve embraced the idea that strength and vulnerability can coexist, and that the real magic happens when you show up fully—even when it’s hard.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Woodstock neighborhood?

KB: I travel often for work, but I’ll tell anyone who will listen: there’s nowhere else I’d rather live. Woodstock has it all—a tight-knit community, great restaurants and nightlife, beautiful outdoor spaces and the small-town sense of safety and charm that’s hard to find. My roots here run deep and this community has shaped me both personally and professionally—I’m proud to call it home.

How do you give back to the community?

KB: I am passionate about giving back to the veteran community, and more specifically, to combat-wounded veterans and their families. We work with two very important organizations, Military Warriors Support Foundation and Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals, whose programs provide veterans with donated, mortgage-free housing and help them readjust to civilian life. All of the mortgage-free homes being donated to combat-wounded or gold-star families in our 19-state coverage area are completed by our team, and we absolutely love being a part of these special projects.

Where can people find you most in Woodstock?

KB: You can usually find me and my family around Main Street. For a night out, Roberto’s and Tenku Sushi are go-tos. We love meeting friends at Reformation Brewery—a drink for the grown-ups, green space and a playground for the kids. When it’s tee time, we’re at Towne Lake Hills Golf Club, where both kids take lessons and we are members.
