Rebecca Walden started her own business in 2015 so that she could specifically serve women and children experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy, Alopecia, hormonal hair loss, trichotillomania and trauma—a niche unfilled beyond sterile, generic options. Today, through her private studio inside Sola Salons in Sandy Springs, her specialty in custom, medical hair replacement has helped change the lives of women and children by offering them stylish, customized and high-quality hair replacement options in addition to coaching, friendship and emotional support needed to get through their diagnoses and back to living their best lives.
Q: What has been the most rewarding experience since starting your hair studio?
Rebecca Walden: My partnership with the Aflac Cancer Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta allows me to provide young girls with wigs at little to no cost and go to the hospital to work with them during their care. The look on those parents’ faces, when their daughter gets her new hair, is an indescribable experience that keeps me humble and in awe of the courage, strength and faith of humanity.
Q: What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
