Scott Blair is always working to make things better. He is always looking for ways to improve the business at Ranney Blair Weidmann, including staying on top of industry trends, adopting new technologies and implementing methods to improve efficiency and productivity. It creates a positive environment at work, inciting growth and skill development that has set the group apart in the industry.

What’s the best piece of advice someone has given you since starting your career?

Scott Blair: Something is better than nothing. It’s easy to get caught up in the desire for perfection and wait until everything is just right before taking action. However, taking action even if it’s just a small step, can be incredibly motivating and help you to build momentum toward your goals.

In what ways do you like to give back to the community?

SB: Sunshine on a Ranney Day was founded with the goal of renovating homes for families with children who have special needs or illnesses. Our team has had the opportunity to share their design expertise with makeovers and participate in demo days. I think it’s extremely important for businesses to improve the community and lives of those in their area, and this charity can drastically improve the function and everyday tasks of the families it serves.

What is your goal for 2024?

SB: Over the past year, our team has achieved three NARI certifications, one person gained their unrestricted general contractor license, one received a national remodeling award and was chosen to work on a project that will be seen nationally, one designer was acknowledged with a best kitchen cabinet design nationally and the list continues. My goal is to continue improving our company through the people that make us who we are.

What do you love most about being in your neighborhood?

SB: From the moment we moved to Roswell (over 10 years ago now, time flies!) the town just felt different. We love getting outdoors to the parks, trails and events in the city. I love it because it has everything we could ever need, and it isn’t too built up. The downtown area still has its historic charm, and we soak up all the places to eat and entertain.

What are some your favorite things to do in Roswell?

SB: Besides visiting our friends at Sunny & Ranney and Partly Sunny, my family enjoys going to the farmer’s markets and my favorite restaurant has to be Monkey 68. I’m a big fan of good sushi and a great experience. In the summer, we enjoy going to the parks and seeing concerts by the river.
